Not only was this a big mistake but during the winter Sony released its new system in the US. Having eager people fill the streets by 1:30 am with blankets and lawn chairs some store owners were courteous enough to hand out refreshments. Some people payed over $300 to skip in line. People were so eager to get there hands on a PS2 that E-Bay was seen to have sold them for as much as $500-$2,000.
